Is a high performance single handed racing dinghy which is light and fast. The helmsman controls the boat from the trapeze with excellent performance in strong winds.

For 40 years the contender has been offering single handed high performance sailing in seventeen countries with about 2400 boats worldwide.

The ISAF recognised international class is suitable for male and female sailors with a weight range of 55Kgs to 95Kgs. Boat handling and tactical skills challenge sailors of all ages from twenty years onwards.

Our reliable light weight carbon rig range has been designed for the sailor weight range that the Contender class targets. Our lightness for the right stiffness tubes are targeted at the three crew weight categories.

The recently added small diameter high modulus tubes have been designed to achieve the essential balance between section diameter, wall thickness and weight. We have spent a lot of time optimising this balance and believe we have this balance right.

Sails are designed to match the rig ensuring that there is a close relationship the mast, sail and helmsman.
